Overview.- The HYDRA system uses the expandable casing as a pressure chamber to pump the swaging mandrel from bottom to top. The HYDRA system is configured to run in either cased hole or open hole applications. Open hole running requires the addition of wear protection. The full package of equipment required to deploy the system consists of: Disconnect, Expansion mandrel, launcher and float shoe.
Advantages of the HYDRA system:
Short Launcher Design. No moving parts. High severity dogleg capabilities.
