Mohawk Energy has successfully developed a reliable suite of expandable connections used in various applications. The proprietary connector is the heart of Mohawk’s expandable systems.
Mohawk Energy’s integrated approach to tubular materials, cone design, and connection development has brought significant incremental improvements to the performance and reliability of the industry.
Mohawk Energy has developed a set of proprietary designs, manufacturing techniques, QA/QC standards, and testing protocols which enhance critical aspects of the thread through the entire lifecycle of the connector.
m2m
Mohawk Energy`s metal-to-metal [m2m] connection is designed
for use in high temperature and corrosive applications. Currently, sizes from 3-1/2” to 7-5/8” have
been qualified with expansion ratios up to 20%.
This is a near-flush connection with integrated protection sleeves.
r2m
Mohawk Energy`s rubber-to-metal [r2m] connection is designed
for use in drilling liner applications. The elastomeric sealing system is
integrated into the connection during manufacture. This eliminates rig floor assembly during
make up of connections.
Currently, sizes from 3-1/2” to 10-3/4” have been qualified with expansion ratios up to 25%.
This is a near-flush connection with integrated protection sleeves.
n2m
Mohawk Energy`s special purpose connection is designed to
provide mechanical wellbore stability and also used for sand screen applications.
The n2m connection is designed for running in and expanding in high dogleg
severity applications, e.g., 45°/100
ft.
